Our Story Began with a Simple Need

We ran into the problem in our own music lives first: a growing mix of streaming services, devices, and file formats that never quite worked together.

Frustrated by those limits, we built NoteBurner in 2006 to take away the hassle.

Twenty years and ninety million users later, our goal hasn't changed. We put the freedom of digital music back in our users' hands, so they can listen to what matters to them, on their own terms.

Where It Started

NoteBurner was founded with a simple goal: help people play the music they'd paid for on the devices they actually owned.

2007

Our First Converter

NoteBurner Audio Converter used virtual CD-burning technology to move music off discs and onto MP3 players, years before streaming took over.

2015

Meet Apple Music

We released the iTunes DRM Audio Converter — now Apple Music Converter — one of the first tools built for the streaming era.

2018

Spotify Joins the Lineup

Requests for a Spotify solution poured in for years. NoteBurner Spotify Music Converter answered them, and quickly became a fan favorite.

2021

Amazon Music, LINE Music & Lossless

Two new converters landed the same year, and ALAC lossless output arrived across the whole range for listeners who care about every bit.

2022

YouTube Music & TIDAL

YouTube Music Converter shipped in spring. TIDAL Music Converter followed in August, bringing HiFi and Master-quality downloads to the desktop.

One Look, One Music One

Every NoteBurner music converter got a redesigned interface, and NoteBurner Music One brought Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, TIDAL, YouTube Music and more into a single app.

Deezer Music Converter joined the family, with HiFi quality preserved for Premium listeners.
