NoteBurner is a professional audio software developer. Our music converters, including NoteBurner Music One, Spotify Music Converter, Amazon Music Converter, Apple Music Converter, Tidal Music Converter and YouTube Music Converter, are available for both Windows and Mac and come with free updates and prompt online support.
NoteBurner music converters are currently available in 48 interface languages. We want to bring NoteBurner to more users in their own language. If your language isn't on the list yet, or you'd like to improve an existing translation, we'd love your help. Translations that pass our review and are adopted are rewarded with a free 3-month license.

1. Languages We'd Like to Add
We welcome contributions in the following languages. Other languages are welcome too, just let us know.
Afrikaans, Albanian, Amharic, Bengali, Estonian, Gujarati, Icelandic, Irish Gaelic, Kannada, Khmer, Kurdish, Lao, Latvian, Lithuanian, Marathi, Nepali, Punjabi, Serbian, Slovenian, Swahili, Telugu, Urdu, Welsh.
No programming experience is required. Anyone with a plain-text editor can do it. All NoteBurner music converters, on both Windows and Mac, share one language package, so a single translation brings your language to every NoteBurner music converter on both platforms.

3. How to Translate NoteBurner to Your Own Language
Step 1: Contact us to confirm your language
Email [email protected] with your target language and whether you want to add a new language or improve an existing one. We will confirm the language is open and tell you what to expect.
Step 2: Get the latest language package
We will send you the latest language file (en.json) by email. The same package is used by all NoteBurner music converters on Windows and Mac, so there is nothing to extract from the program. Translating from the latest file ensures your work matches the current version.
Step 3: Prepare a UTF-8 text editor
On Windows we recommend Notepad++. Set the encoding to UTF-8 from its "Encoding" menu before you start. On Mac, any plain-text editor that supports UTF-8 will do. Please don't use Word or other rich-text editors, as they can change quotation marks and break the file.
Step 4: Translate the interface text
The language package is a JSON file (en.json) with about 1,200 entries. Each entry is a pair: the text on the left of the colon is the key, and the text on the right is what users see in the program. Translate only the right side. Keep the left side exactly as it is. For example:

Three rules to keep the file working:
- Leave placeholders in curly braces exactly as they are, such as
{appName}, {num} or {count}. Don't translate, rename or delete them, and keep the same letter case.
- Keep the quotation marks, colons and commas on each line. If your translation contains a double quote, write it as
\".
- Set the
"language" entry (lowercase) to your language's name in that language, e.g. "language": "Deutsch". This is what appears in the program's language menu.
Before submitting, check for untranslated strings, spelling errors, inconsistent terms, and text that may be too long for buttons or menus. If possible, paste the file into an online JSON validator to make sure it still opens correctly.
Step 5: Submit your translation for review
Email the translated file to [email protected] with your language. We will review it and contact you if any revisions are needed. Accepted translations, whether a new language or an improvement, will be included in a future update, and we will send your free 3-month license once the translation is adopted.
