iTunes Music
iTunes music is composed of DRM-Free AAC and DRM Protected AAC files. DRM-FREE AAC will always be M4A files and DRM Protected AAC includes M4P and M4B. M4P is the main format of iTunes music and M4B is often used for broadcast or audio books. The unprotected AAC is not supported by Samsung YP-U3 neither, however, with free program like Any Audio Converter , you can easily convert M4A to MP3 or M4A to OGG for playback on Samsung YP-U3 players. But it's not easy to convert the DRM Protected songs to MP3 or OGG because of the DRM protection.
Convert iTunes music to MP3 or OGG
In iTunes, when you select a song and right-click on it, you can find "convert to MP3". However, when you are trying to convert a M4P song, you will find you are not allowed. If you try to burn the M4P songs to MP3 CD, you are not allowed either. However, iTunes allows you to burn the songs to audio CD. Then you can rip the audio CD to MP3. Obviously it's not convenient.
Convert iTunes music to MP3 or OGG with Noteburner
Noteburner is a smart way to convert iTunes music to MP3 or OGG. Noteburner introduces a virtual CD burning technology and installs a virtual CD burner on your computer. The burner "burns" the m4p songs to a virtual CD and rip the virtual audio CD to MP3 or OGG which is compatible with your Samsung YP-U3 mp3 player. What you need to do is to set Noteburner's virtual CD burner as the default CD burner. Because of the mechanism Noteburner works, Noteburner can convert iTunes much faster than CD burning and ripping.
Noteburner also converts DRM WMA files from Napster or Rhapsody. If you want to listen DRM WMA on your Samsung YP-U3, it is also easy. In fact, Noteburner converts all kinds of audio formats, including DRM protected M4P, M4A, WMA, RA and unprotected M4A, AAC, RA, Ogg, FLAC, RA, OMA, Au, Aiff and so on to MP3, WMA, Ogg, FLAC, AAC and WAV formats. MP3, WMA and Ogg output files can be played on Samsung YP-U3 mp3 players.
Now you can play iTunes music on Samsung YP-U3. Have fun!
