Please open iTunes Preferences by clicking "the upper-left button > Preferences". And then choose the "Advanced" tab in the pop-up window, and check the box that say "Share iTunes Library XML with other applications". At last, please quit iTunes, and then relaunch NoteBurner and iTunes to have a try.

If you have received error message that says "Can not find iTunes Music Library location" or "File C:\Users\xxx\Music\iTunes\iTunes Music Library.xml not exist" after updating iTunes to V12.2 while you are running NoteBurner, you can adjust iTunes settings as follow.

The only difference for Mac versions is that M4V Converter for Mac can only convert Purchased iTunes movies but M4V Converter Plus for Mac can convert both Purchased and Rental movies. For Windows users, we suggest you use Plus version. Because we do not update standard version for Windows any more and Plus version works much better and faster than standard version.

Before converting, make sure your Mac / Windows computer is well authorized with the same Apple ID that you used when downloading the iTunes movies.
For the error, please check if your file name contains certain special letter which may also caused the problem. If that's the case, please rename file with english alphabet and see if it can solve your problem. If problem persists, please contact us for more support.
For the error, please make sure you have downloaded the rented video to your computer and it's in valid period, hasn't expired. Please download the rental to your computer by clicking the "cloud" icon in the bottom left corner of the movie icon.
Please try to copy your rental files to your desktop and then drag and drop the copy to M4V Converter for converting.
Please note that the program that associated with iTunes like TuneUp will cause the crash problem. Please try to turn off this kind of program then try to convert again. Or you can also launch and use program in safe mode.
Also, the iOS-based devices that support AirPlay will cause this problem too. If your Mac is connected with device like Apple TV, iPad, iPhone or iPod, please disconnect device and then try again.
In this case, please try as follows to solve problem.
For Mac users: Please delete NoteBurner from the application folder. Then click on your desktop to show the Mac menu, then click on "Go > Go to Folder", input "~/Library/Preferences/" and go to this folder. There you will find a file named "com.noteburner.m4vconverterplus.plist", please delete this file. And then you will need to empty trash to make sure all these files has been deleted. After all steps above, please download and install NoteBurner from download center.
For Windows Users: Please uninstall NoteBurner M4V Converter Plus, and then reinstall it from our download center. After that, please reboot your computer for a try.
There are many reasons to cause iTunes to crash.
For Mac users: The most common one is that you may installed a plug-in called TuneUp on your Mac. To fix this problem, please simply uninstall it before you using NoteBurner. But if you don't have such plug-in and don't touch iTunes during the conversion, but iTunes still crashes, please send iTunes crash report together with the log file of M4V Converter Plus to us via email.
For Windows users: The most common one is that iTunes may be also used by other programs besides the NoteBurner M4V Converter Plus, or you operated the iTunes during conversion. So if you met this problem, please firstly close those programs which are lauched in background.
Please make sure you are running the latest version of NoteBurner M4V Converter Plus. If problem persists, please provide us with the info below:
(1) What's your Mac OS version or Windows OS version and the iTunes version?
(2) What is the name of the Movie/TV Show? Is your iTunes movie a purchased or a rental file? Is it SD or HD? Can it play normall in iTunes?
(3) Does the problem happen to certain movie or to all the movies?
(4) Which output profile did you choose? Please try output format as "Same as Source for MP4" or "Same as Source for MOV" for Mac or "Lossless MP4" for Windows.
(5) Please send us the log files. If iTunes crashed, please also send us the crash log file.
How to find the program log file:
For Mac users, please click to Menu->File->Show log in Finder, there will prompt a window to show you the file location. They're "movie_convert.log" and "NoteBurner M4V Converter Plus.log".
Or click on “Go to folder” and find log file with similar path as below:
/Users/username(Mac account name)/Library/Application Support/NoteBurner M4V Converter Plus(product name)/
For Windows users, please click on menu button on the right and click on "Locate Log File", then there will show you the location of the log file. They're "iTunes.log" and "log.txt".
